Khentii province is birth and grow up place of Chinggis Khaan and identified his historical 43 sites .
In 1206, the 42-year old chieftain Temuujin was conferred the title of the Chinggis Khaan, the Universal Ruler, to govern the largest land empire in the history of the mankind. This overland adventure, takes you through dozens of sites across the Khentii province, where Chinggis Khaan was born and which became the heart of the great empire. You will camp at one of the two largest rivers, Kherlen and Onon, heroines of many epic tales, and travel through forests of larch, cedar, birch and fir trees, where Temuujin used to hunt and fight. You shall explore the ruins of the hidden monastery, visit the sacred Mount Burkhan Khaldun revered by Chinggis Khaan, and enjoy the natural hot spas. Our drivers and cooks equipped with outdoor equipment that is made for the type of adventure .
TRIP ITINERARY:
Day 1: Ulaanbaatar
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to hotel. City tour covering a visit to the National History Museum. The museum contains a unique collection of traditional costumes and intricate jewelry of different ethnic groups of Mongolia. Traditional performance in the evening. (L.D)
Day 2: Khukh Nuur / Khentii Province
Morning visit to the Gandan Monastery to view the majestic 20 ton statue of Migjid Janraiseg (Avalokiteshvara), adorned by gold and jewels. Return to hotel, prepare for the outdoor adventure. The group is divided into subgroups and each subgroup is provided with a 4×4 vehicle manned by a friendly experienced driver. The expedition heads for the first camping site at the Lake Khukh Nuur. (this day journey is 235km.). Overnight in tents.
Day 3: Lake Khangal / Khentii province
Khangal lake is located in Umnudelger sum of Khentii province. 1326m above sea level , length is 2 km fresh water resource. You can see some kind of birds . Overnight at tent in Lake Khangal. (230 km). ( B.L.D )
Day 4: Baldan Breewen/ Khentii province
This is the Buddhist monastery first established in 1654, the monastery grew to be one of the largest and most important in Mongolia at its height in the mid 19th century, housing up to 3000 monks.[1] The monastery and temple complex were destroyed by Mongolia’s communist regime in 1937.Explore the ruins of the monastery . This monastery is currently being restored . Overnight stay in tent. This day journey is 110km . ( B.L.D )
Day 5: Dadal /Khentii province
Drive to Dadal, the legendary birthplace of Chinggis Khaan. Dadal sum is reminiscent of Siberia and gorgeous with beautiful of lakes , rivers, forests , wooden huts , few people lives in ger in this area . There are Onon Balj National Park has many species fishes . Overnight in a ger camp. (this day journey is 215 km.). (B.L.D)
Day 6: Gurvan Nuur / Khentii province
Drive to the Gurvan Nuur Lakes. View on Chinggis Khaan monument. Trek around the lakes, enjoy natural springs and spa. Overnight at ger camp. ( B.L.D )
Day 7: River Ugalz/ Khentii province
Drive to the River Ugalz. Trek around the river and forest in Khentii Mountain range . Camp near Batnorov village. (this day journey is165 km.).

Day 8: Delgerkhaan / Khentii province
Drive to the Delgerkhaan village. Despite the historical significance of the area there’s little actually see the village. We will visit Chinggis Statue 13 km south of village . Overnight stay in tent at the River Tsenheriin Gol. ( this day journey is 190 km.). ( B.L.D )
Day 9: Khuduu Aral / Khentii province
Drive to the Khuduu Aral camp. Visit Chinggis Khaan’s Monument and archaeological Musuem , Avarga Balgas which is ruin of Mongolian Empire Palace, stop by nomadic families. Overnight in a ger camp. (this day journey is 50 km.). (B.L.D)
Day 10: Terelj/ Tuv province
Explore Tsonjinboldog Genghis Khan Statue Complex which is a 40-metre tall statue of Genghis Khan on horseback. Then move to the Gorkhi-Terelj National Park .The Terelj settlement is located in the valley of the Terelj River , The park has many rock formations for rock climbers, and includes two famous formations named for things they resemble: Turtle Rock (Mongolian: Melkhii Khad) and the Old Man Reading a Book (Praying Lama Rock).
Opportunities for hiking and photo sessions in the environs of beautiful rocky mountains. Overnight at ger camp. (this day journey is 250 km). (B.L.D)
Day 11: Ulaanbaatar
Final day of the adventures. Arrive in the capital city and transfer to hotel. Visit the Bogd Khaan Palace Museum, a home of the last Khaan of Mongolia ,Gobi cashmere factory shop. Free time . ( this day journey is 80 km.) ( B.L.D )
Day 12: Departure
After breakfast depart to airport .
